Whitegate Alumni
Our graduates remain forever part of the Whitegate community. They always remember the community that nurtured them and prepared them for college and beyond and are willing to talk about how those early experiences shaped the people they have become.

Here I had teachers who pushed me to go further and think bigger, not to reach their standards but to raise my own standards. I was not told what to do, I was told to have my own ideas, come up with my own projects, and then execute them by giving them my best effort. They showed me to find value in failure and that is a mindset that has become a core part of my life.

[In my senior year] we read Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad and here is a quote that I recorded in my reading journal… "I don't like work, no man does, but I like what is in the work; the chance to find yourself. Your own reality for yourself, not for others, what no other man can ever know."
Ayla Heun, Class of 2024
Student at UMSL

Whitegate is dedicated to helping students find meaning and purpose. They focus on building character while pushing each individual to reach their fullest potential.
My experience as a student was filled with encouragement; not only was I discovering my passions, but I was also guided toward them through the outstanding support system, abundant resources, and genuine care of the teachers.
I can confidently say that what Whitegate offers goes far beyond teaching the basics — it’s about discovering who you are and preparing you for all that life has to offer.
